Kate Voegele est une chanteuse américaine née le 8 décembre 1986 à Bay Village dans l'Ohio.

Kate a commencé à chanter à l'âge de 10 ans à l'église de Bay Village, sa ville natale. Mais c'est en rentrant au lycée que Kate se rend compte qu'elle veut devenir chanteuse. Elle écrit donc ses premières chansons et est poussée par son père, guitariste, à enregistrer sa musique. Sa démo tombe alors dans les mains d'un représentant de la Warner Bros pendant un concert de Michelle Branch ; Kate se voit proposer un contrat chez la maison de disque Maverick. En 2003, Kate enregistre un mini-album de cinq chansons "The Other Side" avec l'aide du producteur Michael Seifert. Par la suite, elle enchaine les shows et reçoit de bonnes critiques. Et c'est en 2006, alors qu'elle entre à l'université de Floride, que la maison de disque MySpace Records-Interscope Records lui donne la chance de sortir son premier album, "Don't Look Away", dès 2007.

Kate a pour influences de grands artistes tels que : Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin, Carole King, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Lisa Loeb, Lucinda Williams ...

Kate joue depuis peu dans la série Les Frères Scott où elle interprète le rôle de Mia Catalano, une jeune chanteuse et pianiste du groupe de Jason (Kevin Federline). Mais Peyton (Hilarie Burton) n'aimant pas l'attitude de Jason, le vire, en gardant Mia. Mia a chanté plusieurs chansons tirées de l'album "Don't Look Away" de son interprète.
